General description
The Société des Ciments de Gabès (SCG) is a public limited company established in 1973, specializing in the production of binders, including cement and artificial lime. In 2000, the company was acquired from the Tunisian state by the Portuguese group SECIL, founded in 1930, a leading cement manufacturer in Portugal with a presence in eight countries across four continents. Since the acquisition, SCG has continuously expanded its operations and modernized its equipment with the goal of producing high-quality cement while fully complying with environmental standards. Today, the company produces under its own brand, « ENNAKHIL », with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of cement.
