General description
The ZITEX Group's main mission is the extraction of olive pomace oils, the refining of vegetable oils, oil packaging, and soap production. In addition to its significant production and storage capacities, the ZITEX Group has developed its trading capabilities and has become one of the country's major olive oil exporters, especially to Europe and the United States.
The ZITEX Group consists of three companies: SIOS ZITEX, established in 1927, is the parent company specializing in the refining sector. The activities of olive pomace oil extraction and household soap production were relocated to the AGUAREB industrial zone by establishing AGRO-ZITEX in 1997, with more advanced equipment, while adding a new refining line that increased the group's production capacity. To complete its value chain, the ZITEX Group set up a new company in 2004, AFRICAIN OIL, specializing in the packaging of edible oils.
