Socapalm (Société Camerounaise de Palmeraies) is a Cameroonian public limited company governed by Cameroonian law, with a Board of Directors and share capital of XAF 45,757,890,000. Its registered office is located in Tillo, on the Nkongsamba Road, while its Head Office is located in Douala, Rue de la Motte-Piquet, Bonanjo, P.O. Box 691, Douala. Socfinaf holds 67.46% of the share capital, the State of Cameroon holds 22.36%, while the remaining shares have been listed on the Douala Stock Exchange since 2009. As a responsible corporate citizen, Socapalm is committed to meeting the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and responsibility. The company is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, including four corporate entities, whose primary role is to define the strategic direction of Socapalm’s activities while safeguarding the interests of all shareholders. At the Combined General Meeting held in Douala on 15 April 2024, Mr. Joseph OWONA NKONO was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for a two-year term. Socapalm is managed by a Managing Director appointed by the Board of Directors, who is responsible for managing the company and representing it before third parties. He also chairs the Management Committee, which includes the plantation directors and members of the General Management team. The committee meets regularly to ensure the effective monitoring and coordination of the company’s activities. Mr. Dominique CORNET, Managing Director, took office on 22 June 2016.
