RUST-ANODE® is a cold-dip galvanizing process and therefore an anticorrosive treatment, in which the zinc acts as an active couple with the steel surface.
The performance of RUST-ANODE® cold-dip galvanizing is equivalent to that of hot-dip galvanizing, for the same mass and thickness of zinc.
RUST-ANODE® acts as a transformer (inhibitor) of any rust that may be present, preventing it from forming. Rust no longer spreads, and RUST-ANODE® retains full adhesion.
Traditional anti-rust processes, on the other hand, always dry out, crack and flake over time, allowing rust to resume its destructive effects.
